In 2015, he published a collaborative art-poetry collection, \u003ci\u003eSomnio: The Way We See It\u003c\/i\u003e (TiPSY Press, 2015), which received the Cultural Diversity Grant from the Edmonton Arts Council. His Nepali translation of Jean-Claude Carrière and Peter Brook's play \u003ci\u003eThe Conference of the Birds\u003c\/i\u003e was performed in India and Nepal in 2019. He has written screenplays for films and made documentaries on art, culture, and food. Pushpa is also a literary scholar and has taught in universities in Canada and Nepal.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eAsma Sayed is the Canada Research Chair in South Asian Literary and Cultural Studies in the Department of English at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. She specializes in postcolonial and diasporic literatures in the context of narratives of exile and displacement from South Asia and East Africa. Her interdisciplinary research is informed by feminist and critical race studies and focuses on marginalization of gendered and racialized people as represented in literature, film, and media.
