A graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada's acting program, she has performed in acclaimed productions such as the world premiere of \u003ci\u003eSelfie\u003c\/i\u003e (Young People's Theatre) and the Canadian premiere of \u003ci\u003eSchool Girls; Or, the African Mean Girls Play\u003c\/i\u003e (Obsidian Theatre\/Nightwood Theatre). As a playwright, Rachel's work has been recognized with multiple awards. \u003ci\u003eVierge\u003c\/i\u003e won first prize in Infinitheatre's Write-On-Q playwriting competition in 2020 and was shortlisted for the 2024 Quebec Writers' Federation Prize for Playwriting. Her theatre for young audiences play, \u003ci\u003eHomeroom, \u003c\/i\u003e won the Playwrights Guild of Canada's Tom Hendry Award in 2021. She is also the most recent recipient of the Jon Kaplan Legacy Fund's Young Canadian Playwriting Award. Rachel's next play, \u003ci\u003eWake, \u003c\/i\u003e was awarded the inaugural IBPOC commission from Persephone Theatre in Saskatoon and is currently in development with an impending premiere.
