In addition to her three, Goodwin mystery novels and a novella about mother and child separation, Dafoe has two published poetry books. A high school and college-level English educator, she continues to teach writing workshops in various venues. She has written three books on education and writing. Her poetry has won national awards, and she has two published books of poetry. Dafoe is a member of the National League of American Pen Women and has served as national Letters Chair.
