He has published three previous volumes of poetry: \u003ci\u003eThe Darker Fall\u003c\/i\u003e; \u003ci\u003eWant\u003c\/i\u003e; which was a finalist for the Lambda Literary Award and won the 2009 GrubStreet Book Prize; and \u003ci\u003eChord\u003c\/i\u003e. \u003ci\u003eChord\u003c\/i\u003e received the UNT Rilke Prize, the PEN Open Book Award, and the Publishing Triangle's Thom Gunn Award. It was also a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize. His work has appeared in numerous publications, including \u003ci\u003ePoetry\u003c\/i\u003e, the \u003ci\u003eNew Republic\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003eTin House\u003c\/i\u003e, the \u003ci\u003eKenyon Review\u003c\/i\u003e, and the \u003ci\u003eNew Yorker\u003c\/i\u003e. He has received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Artist Trust of Washington, the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation, and Stanford University. He is the poetry editor for the \u003ci\u003eNew England Review\u003c\/i\u003e.
