Guitarist Ron Elliot handled the songwriting chores for the whole album with the exception of two well chosen covers (Don Gibson's \"Oh Lonesome Me\" and Don Robey's \"Ain't That Loving You\"), and penned the debut single and their subsequent Top Ten hit.
