With Johnny Burnette's 'Baby Blue Eyes' this album has a killer opening track and is the beginning of over 35 minutes of red hot rockabilly 'n roll. Looking back nowadays on Gonna Ball, it seems like a minor masterpiece and probably the Stray Cats' finest album. The Cats are captured diggin' deep into early rock 'n' roll and even pre-rock 'n' roll roots music and far beyond the boundaries of rockabilly, served the Brian Setzer/Stray Cats way. Supported by various players, including Rolling Stones alumnus Ian Stewart, John Locke (Spirit/Nazareth) and on the saxophone there's New Orleans tenor legend Lee Allen (Fats Domino/Little Richard). The album ends with 'Crazy Mixed Up Kids', a psychobilly instrumental workout par excellence.

Tracklist:

Baby Blue Eyes

Little Miss Prissy

Wasn't That Good

Crying Shame

(She'll Stay Just) One More Day

You Don't Believe Me

Gonna Ball

Wicked Whisky

Rev It Up and Go

Lonely Summer Nights

Crazy Mixed Up Kid
