He authored two collections of poetry criticism and six poetry collections, all published by the University of Pittsburgh Press: \u003ci\u003eRed Clay Weather\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003eFata Morgana\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003e Otherhood\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003e Wrong\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003e Angel, Interrupted\u003c\/i\u003e, and \u003ci\u003eSome Are Drowning\u003c\/i\u003e. His work has been widely awarded and anthologized and has appeared in four editions of \u003ci\u003eThe Best American Poetry\u003c\/i\u003e and two Pushcart Prize anthologies.
