Schwartz \u003c\/b\u003ereceived his PhD in 1993 from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. Since\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ethen he has been at Florida International University (FIU) in Miami, Florida, where he is currently professor\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eof psychology. He is author or editor of 10 published books as well as over 70 journal articles and\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003echapters. His textbook \u003ci\u003eMemory: Foundations and Applications, \u003c\/i\u003efourth edition (SAGE), was published in\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e2020. He has won several teaching awards at FIU and currently teaches courses in memory, cognition, \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eand sensation and perception. His main research area is metacognition and memory, but he has also\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003econducted research in diverse areas that range from visual perception to evolutionary psychology, to\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ethe language of thought, and to memory in nonhuman primates. Krantz \u003c\/b\u003ereceived his psychology PhD from the University of Florida.
