He has served on historic preservation commissions in Longmont and Berthoud, CO. During his many years of architectural practice, he has designed and led historic preservation projects in Denver, Leadville, Kersey, and Grand Junction, Colorado.After earning his bachelor's degree in architecture at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, Lee worked with several Los Angeles area firms before co-founding his first office, Hardies Swickard Associates, in Thousand Oaks, California. Relocating to Colorado in 1987, he continued his small practice, designing custom homes and small commercial projects before discovering his love of historic pres-ervation. He has served on state and local boards of the American Institute of Architects.
