He was a broadcast journalist for ten years, \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eworking for the BBC in London, Washington DC, New York\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eand Belfast, as well as for Sky News, Channel 5 News, UTV\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eand ITV's Good Morning Britain. He is a frequent political\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ecommentator for the UK and international broadcast and\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eprint media. In his spare time, he volunteers as chairman of\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ea trust for student journalists, mentors a teenager in the\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ecare system and spends time with his rescue cat, Jack.
