For over 27 years, he has served as a college professor, a biomedical researcher and an African-centered scholar\/activist. He is a distinguished educator who appreciates interdisciplinary studies. He has served as an Assistant Professor at Morehouse College in Atlanta GA and an Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Psychology at Clark Atlanta University. Dr. Moore has earned Tenure and Full Professor at two academic institutions. During his administrative roles, he has served as the Chair of the Department of Psychology at Fayetteville State University in North Carolina and the Department of Psychology at Clark Atlanta University. His specialty courses are both in the field of Neuroscience and African-Centered Psychology. Throughout his academic career, he has been actively involved in the Departments of Psychology, Biology and Africana and Women's Studies. In addition, he is a co-founding member of the Neuroscience Institute at Morehouse School of Medicine. He was also an active member of the National Science Foundation funded Center for Behavioral Neuroscience in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Moore has received federal and private grant support to conduct research on the effects of hormones and neuropeptides on social behavior in rodents. Through his diversified academic training, he has been able to study learning paradigms that can be utilized to enhance the educational performance of students. He is a 2009 U.S. Fulbright Scholar, and he is recognized as a social activist on an international level. He has been on four continents as well as the Caribbean Islands to teach and conduct research. He continues to have an impact on students and intellectuals in many countries, such as Salvador, Brazil where he is recognized as a distinguished scholar\/activist.
