Her research focuses on the intersection of fashion and culture, and the concepts of gender fluidity, sexualities and masculinities in contemporary fashion. Her first monograph is titled \u003ci\u003eAntigender Fashion: The Possibilities of Gender-Fluid and Non-Binary Fashion Design\u003c\/i\u003e (2025).\u003cb\u003e\u003ci\u003eKaraminas, Vicki:\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e - \u003cb\u003eVicki Karaminas\u003c\/b\u003e is Professor of Fashion at Massey University Aotearoa New Zealand. She was awarded the University Medal in the Social Sciences (1997) by the University of Technology Sydney and the Humanities Aronui Medal (2024) from the Royal Society Te Apārangi, Aotearoa New Zealand. She holds an honorary Professorial position at the University of Sydney and is an Honorary Fellow of the University of Melbourne. She has published over 20 books on fashion, gender and sexuality. Her latest book publication (with Adam Geczy) is the revised second edition of \u003ci\u003eQueer Style\u003c\/i\u003e (2024).
