She was a Roman Catholic nun for 18 years at the Sisters of Mercy, Province of Cincinnati, Ohio, before working odd jobs and moving to California for a year. She then moved to Kentucky, where she worked as a teacher, then social worker in Child Protective Services for the state until her retirement in 2006.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eCall currently lives in Pleasureville, Kentucky, a small town about 45 miles northeast of Louisville. To date, she's still active in social justice and community issues.
