He began his \u003cbr\u003ecareer in 1974, working on animal viruses, and was one of the first \u003cbr\u003escientists to join the U.K. biotech company Celltech in 1981. \u003cbr\u003eSubsequently he spent nearly five years at Glaxo Group Research (now \u003cbr\u003eGSK) in the United Kingdom as Director of Biotechnology. \u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003eTim has founded several biotech companies since moving to the United \u003cbr\u003eStates in 1993 to be head of R\u0026amp;D at Sequana Therapeutics, a genomics\u003cbr\u003e company in San Diego.
