He studied Art History \u0026amp; Creative Writing in Carlisle where he was part of the renowned Speakeasy spoken word scene. His first collection \u003ci\u003eHey Bert\u003c\/i\u003e (Parthian, 2019) was highly commended by the Forward Poetry Prize and subsequently appeared in the \u003ci\u003eForward Book of Poetry 2021\u003c\/i\u003e.
