However, the Qur'an uses this word to mean something specific; a pan-textual analysis of \u003cem\u003eal-kitab \u003c\/em\u003ereveals it to mean\u003cem\u003e the Writ \u003c\/em\u003ei.e. a compilation of God's written commands to mankind.
