She is also the editor of \u003ci\u003eTrigger Warnings: History, Theory Context\u003c\/i\u003e (Rowman and Littlefield) and is coeditor of \u003ci\u003eFoundations of Information Ethics\u003c\/i\u003e (ALA Neal-Schuman). Her articles have been published in \u003ci\u003eLibrary Quarterly\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003eLibrary and Information Science Research\u003c\/i\u003e, and the Journal of\u003ci\u003e Intellectual Freedom and Privacy\u003c\/i\u003e. Dr. Knox has served on the boards of the Association for Information Science and Technology, Freedom to Read Foundation, and the National Coalition Against Censorship. Her research interests include information access, intellectual freedom and censorship, information ethics, information policy, and the intersection of print culture and reading practices. She is also a member of the Mapping Information Access research team. She received her PhD from the Rutgers University School of Communication and Information. Her master's degree in library and information science is from the iSchool at Illinois.
