She walked with her daughter from Oslo to the Lofoten Islands telling and collecting stories on the way. She toured North America with adult and children's shows, based on her first Hawthorn book, \u003ci\u003eThe Natural Storyteller: Wildlife tales for telling\u003c\/i\u003e. \u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cb\u003eDawne McFarlane\u003c\/b\u003e teaches storytelling across Canada, inspired by her storytelling Scottish grandfather. She has worked with world music and dance with choreographers, dancers, Sign Language Interpreters, musicians, and clowns. As a parent and Waldorf teacher, she has been storytelling and teaching around campfires, outdoor bread ovens, kitchen tables, and in classrooms for over thirty years. She performed at storytelling festivals in Toronto, Vancouver and Edinburgh. She was a faculty member at the Rudolf Steiner Centre Toronto for 8 years.
