Yet, as this volume reveals, various practices of disease control have made epidemic outbreaks a matter of ecological management as well. These practices involve ecosystems and infrastructures, more-than-human mobilities, disease landscapes, elemental atmospheres, metabolic entanglements, and real-time information systems.
