She holds a PhD in Higher Education from the University of Michigan. Longman currently co-edits an eight-volume book series on Women and Leadership being published in collaboration with the International Leadership Association; she also co-edits a peer-reviewed journal titled Christian Higher Education: An International Journal of Research, Theory, and Practice.
