Throughout the Second World War, he was vocal in his opposition to the Nazis, and he was later suspected of being a communist when he lived in the US during the 50s. He eventually returned to Switzerland where he died in 1955.\u003cbr\u003e","brand":"MacMillan Collector's Library","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":52101668503826,"sku":"9781035065196","price":10.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0831\/4771\/8930\/files\/img_aad9c21c-9a05-4c50-9c5b-c1e3045c77e2.jpg?v=1773136217","url":"https:\/\/surprise-castle.myshopify.com\/products\/death-in-venice-9781035065196","provider":"Surprise Castle","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
