As I believe is the case for all creative processes, this activity soothed the soul and allowed the inner most thoughts to surface. Often thoughts I didn't even know I had. At the time, I was supporting a very dear friend through her treatment for breast cancer. I found comfort and solace in these little girls during a difficult time in my life. Eventually I began to realise that these little girls bore messages. The first girl to speak to me was Grace, who appears on the cover of the first book in the series (\u003cem\u003eFinding Grace\u003c\/em\u003e). Her message was about acceptance. She seemed to embody this intangible quality we call grace. Each day as I drew another little girl I thought about the meaning of grace.
