Howell is also a curator of public history projects, including the \u003ci\u003eHalal Metropolis\u003c\/i\u003e exhibition series. \u003cb\u003eAndrew Shryock\u003c\/b\u003e is the Arthur F. Thurnau Professor of Anthropology at the University of Michigan.
