Miura again collaborated with Buronson on a manga entitled \u003ci\u003eJapan\u003c\/i\u003e. Miura's fame grew after \u003ci\u003eBerserk\u003c\/i\u003e began \"The Golden Age\" story arc and the huge success of this masterpiece made of him one of the most prominent contemporary manga artists. \u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003eIn 1997, Miura supervised the production of 25 anime episodes of \u003ci\u003eBerserk\u003c\/i\u003e that aired in the same year on NTV. \u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003eThe series has also spawned a whole host of merchandise, both official and fan made, ranging from statues and action figures, to key rings, video games, and a trading card game. In 2002, Kentaro Miura received the second place in the Tezuka Osamu (\u003ci\u003eAstro Boy\u003c\/i\u003e) Cultural Prize of Excellence for \u003ci\u003eBerserk\u003c\/i\u003e.
