Harris has edited more than forty books for Aperture and recently authored \u003ci\u003eA Wild Life: A Visual Biography of Photographer Michael Nichols\u003c\/i\u003e (2017). Harris has curated photography exhibitions for venues worldwide, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art; the Lumiere Brothers Center for Photography, Moscow; and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Venice. Harris teaches at New York University in the Tisch Photography and Imaging department.
