Whitnee has her MFA in Creative Writing from Eastern Kentucky University's Bluegrass Writers Studio and has three collections of poetry published including this deep, wide, dark world (Alien Buddha Press). She has recently published the social-emotional learning children's book, Elsie's Adventures to Brainy Cove, exploring topics of the neuroscience behind emotions and coping skills for emotional regulation that can be done at home or in school. She is finishing her doctorate in Education Policy, Organization, and Leadership with an emphasis in Diversity and Equity.
