In his youth, he operated a traditional photographic studio doing portraits, weddings, pets, aerials, and commercial\/industri- al photography. Photographing people was not a passion, so he focused his attention on wild animals. He has photographed wildlife and nature throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. He spent two years in Siberia photographing endangered cranes, storks, and other wildlife. As a scientist with a doctorate specializing in moose ecology, a master's in wildlife biology, and a bachelor's in environmental geology, he uses his knowledge of animals and animal behavior to capture their true essence. He describes his style of photography as visceral. Using eye contact, per- ceived danger, light, color, or atmospheric moods, he seeks to produce im- ages that evoke an emotional response. His images are distributed by stock agencies (Alamy, Windigo Images, and Getty) with over 11,000 published credits in some of the most presti- gious periodicals. Published credits include National Geographic, Smithso- nian, Outdoor Photographer, and many others. Moose lives in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem near Jackson, Wyo- ming. He frequently travels to other locations around North America, Eu- rope, and Asia for dynamic photographic images. Moose is a member of North American Nature Photographers Association (NANPA), Professional Photographers of America (PPA), Art Association of Jackson Hole (AAJH), Teton Photographic Group, and the Shoot to Care Campaign for ethical wildlife photography.","brand":"Sastrugi Press LLC","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":50612282917138,"sku":"9781944986391","price":23.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0831\/4771\/8930\/files\/img_7029fc08-46fe-4432-b779-d39e5d3aac7d.jpg?v=1732372332","url":"https:\/\/surprise-castle.myshopify.com\/products\/50-wildlife-hotspots-grand-teton-national-park-and-surrounding-communities-9781944986391","provider":"Surprise Castle","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
