These scripts can be put to use immediately and retain the complete integrity of EMDR Therapy by presenting the three-prong protocol (past memories, present triggers, and future templates) and the 11-step procedure essential to the standard practice of EMDR Therapy.

The mini-book delivers EMDR procedures and protocols gleaned from the responders to the massacre of schoolchildren in Newtown, CT; vicarious trauma experiences; and worst-case scenarios in recent trauma response, all with accompanying summary sheets.

Key Features:

Provides concise, step-by-step EMDR scripts for practicing self-care when working with traumatized populations

Includes concise summary sheets for quick information retrieval during perilous situations

Presents scripts that retain the complete integrity of EMDR protocol

About the Author
Luber, Marilyn: -
Marilyn Luber, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist and has a general private practice in Center City, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Women who have experienced a medical emergency during birth often find that the memory of it doesn't go away just because a healthy baby has been delivered. They experience the symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder: flashbacks, sleeplessness, nightmares or extreme anxiety. Some go out of their way to avoid being reminded of the birth, and they may find it difficult to bond with their baby. Post-traumatic stress disorder after birth, known more simply as 'birth trauma', affects at least 10,000 women every year in England and Wales. Yet the condition is poorly misunderstood and women suffering from birth trauma often do not receive the treatment or support they need. They may be misdiagnosed as suffering from postnatal depression, and many find that friends and family, instead of being supportive, simply tell them to pull themselves together. This valuable and fascinating book explains everything you and your family and friends need to know about birth trauma: what causes it, how it affects your personal relationships, how to treat it and where to find support. Using the powerful personal stories of women who have suffered birth trauma and overcome it, this book shows that it is possible to go through this difficult experience and come out the other side. He currently studies at the School for Missionary Discipleship in the Catholic Diocese of Rockville Centre. But more than anything, Rob is a trauma survivor armed with the power of God's Hope, and on a mission to share this Hope with those who need it even more than he does. Twenty five years ago, on the 333rd day of the year, a gunman took his life away and God gave it back to him. Rob was shot twice in a bank robbery and for a short time was pronounced clinically dead, but God allowed him to live. In Heaven, Rob was blessed by Mary, the Holy Mother of God with a divine gift and given a life-long mission. During the next 77 days in the Surgical Intensive Care unit at Winthrop Hospital, it was God's Hope that gave Rob the strength to overcome the brutal pain. Even today, it is the Light of His Hope that helps him battle the emotional and physical pain of that life changing day. This is his purpose, to share Hope and Faith through his story as a testament to God, so that others might be healed. Like many others, Rob is called to be a witness, a tool for God to work through. He offers his testimony to honor Jesus Christ, through whom all things are possible, and as proof that God walks beside us, each and every day. His book, From Anger To Enlightenment, A Survivor's Story of Faith, is the culmination of how, through the Spirit of The Lord, he turned his pain and anger into understanding and forgiveness for the man who shot him. This gripping true story is about Hope, Faith, Anger and Guilt. It's also about God, Heaven, and the most powerful healing medicine...Forgiveness! It teaches survivors and their families how to heal the emotional scars caused from the effects of Trauma Induced Stress. You will see an emotionally scarred surfer recover from the ultimate loss, the tragic death of his son. You will learn how dreams and images gave subjects the courage to change careers and enrich their lives. And you will discover how a woman accessed a buried traumatic memory during a therapy session and gained an enduring sense of peace. The process described in psychologist Dr. Andrew J. Dobo's book occurs in six stages, which are mirrored by six moments Christ modeled in his Passion. Psychology and religion collide in the book's incredible tales, which move from despair to hope, hate to love, and fear to contentment. This is a book that will give hope to those suffering mental anguish as they are exposed to a new map of the soul modeled by Christ and shared by psychology. It shows how survivors of trauma can heal and overcome negative beliefs about themselves. It's for those who want to better understand the workings of the soul and for those who do not even imagine such a thing exists. And it will fascinate any reader interested in the power of the mind.

About the Author
Dr. Andrew J. Dobo was first trained in the use of EMDR more than 14 years ago. He has treated hundreds of patients and participated in literally thousands of EMDR sessions in his private psychology practice in Sebastian, Florida. He is a licensed psychologist in Florida. Dr. Dobo is highly credentialed in the use of EMDR. He has a lifelong interest in psychology and religion. In 1977, he read a book that used Jungian theory to interpret the sayings of Jesus. John Sanford's book The Kingdom Within changed his view of Jesus and of psychology. He has been looking at the connections between these two disciplines his entire life. He thought he had nothing new to add to the conversation until he saw that powerful changes wrought by EMDR in his clients paralleled six distinct moments that are modeled in the Christian Passion. "Unburdening Souls at the Speed of Thought" is a narrative nonfiction account of how his clients changed their lives and how their courage changed Dr. Dobo's view of his work, of himself, and of his God.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0831/4771/8930/files/img_0c3b22e9-8eb3-498a-982f-6b3cdcb9b11c.jpg?v=1727823555
storiez-a-do-it-yourself-guide-9780997004946
Storiez A Do It Yourself Guide

Storiez: A Do It Yourself Guide is a tool for children, teenagers, and adults between the ages of 7 and 107. Two years ago I was diagnosed with depression and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). I suffered from anxiety, different fears, nasty feelings (especially sadness and anger), flashbacks and re-experiencing my traumas. Also I used to experience plenty of stress, irritability, feelings of guilt, memory problems, sleeping problems and changes in mood. I tried to avoid and to forget my bad memories but it did not help. My efforts were in vain. My traumas were caused by different traumatic events with full of violence, physical and emotional abuse, aggression, emotional blackmail, bullying and mobbing (pestering). Most of these events happened during my childhood. For some time I have been treated by a psychologist, who applied several cures like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). As I was not satisfied with my progress, I developed and employed a successful self-help treatment to recover from psychological traumas and PTSD. I named it Mindfulness Based Trauma Treatment (MBTT). In my self-help workbook I describe step by step my treatment method based on the experiences with my own traumas. Mindfulness Based Trauma Treatment (MBTT) consists of elements from Mindfulness, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Buddhism and Psychology. I have succeeded in healing more than 100 different traumas using MBTT. I'm changed. I do not suffer from anxiety, fears, nasty feelings, flashbacks and other things any more. They're all gone. I can recall my traumas without experiencing nasty emotions, fears and stress. They do not bother me anymore. Now I'm able to experience positive feelings again, such as happiness and love. It is also as old as the human record of war, as evidenced in the ancient war epics of Greece, India, and the Middle East. But what exactly is Moral Injury? What are its causes and consequences? What can we do to prevent or limit its occurrence among those we send to war? And, above all, what can we do to help heal afflicted warriors? This landmark volume provides an invaluable resource for those looking for answers to these questions. Gathered here are some of the most far-ranging, authoritative, and accessible writings to date on the topic of Moral Injury. Contributors come from the fields of psychology, theology, philosophy, psychiatry, law, journalism, neuropsychiatry, classics, poetry, and, of course, the profession of arms. Their voices find common cause in informing the growing, international conversation on war and war's deepest and most enduring invisible wound. Despite her father's confession in her mid-thirties about an incestuous relationship he'd had with her that began when she was thirteen, she had buried all memories of the childhood trauma. She had run away from home when she was eighteen and spent the next 27 years going from one abuser to another. During that time she was hospitalized twice for suicide attempts, spent time in a women's shelter and raised four children as a single mother. During recovery she wrote about her experience and what it was like to emerge on the other side of the Bridge of Recovery. It is a chronicle of growing up in small Midwestern towns in a Catholic family and of hiding her anguish behind words, poetry that she termed her inner voices. It is also a detailed account of the journey one takes in going from a place of despair to one of joy. That book, titled I Never Heard A Robin Sing became her first attempt to publish. When Marjorie was half way through recovery she found out that her two older daughters had been sexually abused by her second husband. Her youngest daughter had been raped at gunpoint while working at a fast food place when she was 17. This so totally accents the reality that child sexual abuse is a multi-generational problem. Children of an untreated incest victim stand a five times greater chance of being sexually abused themselves. Unable to sell her memoir, she spent several years writing other books: a fiction trilogy, two other novels, four volumes of poetry, and two non-fiction works; all are currently available as Kindles on amazon.com and will be available in paperback in 2017. Marjorie re-read her own first person account to re-walk the path she had taken. She never realized at the time how blessed she was, for that path, though rugged, was straight, and in retrospect provided her with invaluable help to spend three years creating the REPAIR program. Loving Healing Press has published six of her recovery books: REPAIR Your Life: A Program for Recovery from Incest & Childhood Sexual Abuse, REPAIR For Kids, REPAIR For Toddlers, REPAIR For Teens, REPAIR Your Life Workbook and a post recovery book, It's Your Choice! Decisions That Will Change Your Life. She met her current husband, Tom McKinnon, on the Internet while doing genealogy research on McKinnons (her name was also McKinnon). They were married in 2000 at Melrose, Scotland. Tom illustrated the two children's versions of her REPAIR books. They now live in the Sedona, AZ area. Marjorie is also the founder of The Lamplighter Movement, a rapidly growing international movement for recovery from child sexual abuse that emphasizes the importance of REPAIRing the damage. Most of her chapters are using her REPAIR program as a model for recovery. Currently there are 76 Lamplighter Movement chapters in ten countries including 18 in Africa. Marjorie is trying to get Lamplighter chapters in all of the women's prisons. So far they have one in Chino, CA. She is also trying to get chapters started in women's shelters and domestic violence centers. Though we were not dirt poor, my childhood family experience did not include the privileges and extravagances that I saw in the wider world. My three sisters and I were wealthy in perhaps a more important way: we had two spiritual, gentle, and firm parents in our home that was filled with love and care for each other. My education, life experience, and vocational sense have always straddled the precarious space between secular and spiritual worlds. Having one foot planted in both worlds has allowed me to be in a unique place to meld the technical aspects of therapy with spiritual sensibilities like gentleness and compassion. My life journey has both gifted and burdened me with extensive experience in secular human services and spiritual ministry to adults, families, teens, and children. This book was written with a passion to relieve the immense pain of children who have not had the idyllic and gentle upbringing that I had. My spirituality compels that when I see pain, I seek to heal it. If others who have similar callings read my work, perhaps more children will be healed. If others who have not yet recognized a similar calling read it, perhaps it will awaken in them at least a new awareness of the need for greater attention to these inured children. While treating his patients with hypnosis, the author uncovered a world of non-physical helpers who have emerged from his clients to teach and guide him through their individual healing processes. Beyond the Violation provides numerous examples as well as an in depth case study of one such patient, in addition to a ground breaking interview between the author and one of his patient's primary helpers. Through these unique experiences, the author makes a strong case for a much needed paradigm shift in the mental health field in order to combine the deepest understanding of psychological healing with the belief that healing is also done on the soul level. Dealing with narcissism is very difficult because the people suffering from it do not see it as a problem; they believe they are perfectly fine and healthy.

Any event or person that forces people with Narcissistic Personality Disorder to double-check themselves will not produce change because they will still perceive the facts about them as attacks.

In this book, you will learn more about:

Narcissistic mothers

Understanding narcissism

Narcissistic personality disorder

Characteristics of narcissistic parents

The future of your relationship

Narcissistic mothers and their sons

How to deal with narcissistic parents

Recovery

Healing from narcissism

How manipulations influence your mindset

Therapy

... And then you are confused why you are not able to feel anything on those lines. All you feel is a pit in your stomach, a sense of fear and of always being on edge, but all you did was love, right? You did or are doing everything right, yet this "love" does not seem to be magical or does not seem to be healing you; rather, it appears to be destroying you by driving you crazy, and you notice that you have changed not for good.

My first book on Narcissistic abuse was published in October 2018, and I started writing it, just to share what had helped me after I left my husband after 10 years of emotional abuse. I had been researching a lot on the subject and found some great books online however I just wanted to share the scriptures and prayer plan that had helped me and a few women in my close circle, to get over our terrible experiences. Even though I had been divorced for 3 years at the time I wrote the book, I didn't feel ready to share my personal story. In this book, I will share parts of my story, not because I want to prove a point of how much I suffered, but I realize that survivors of psychological abuse share the same fears, and the purpose of my writing this book, is to hold your hand and give you the courage to face yours as I still do every single day to this very day.

I am assuming that if you have arrived here reading this book, then you have already begun the journey of true healing and magic. God has directed our paths to cross at this moment in time and I feel privileged to help guide you in the right direction to find true healing and peace.

Love, for sure, heals and is magical but only when done in the right manner. In the name of love, people can be poisonous and damage even the strongest souls. It is for this reason that love with a narcissist is bad because it is the wrong type of love. A narcissist does not understand love the way normal people understand it.

Narcissistic abuse is high on the ranks of toxic forms of love. It damages and destroys the soul like no other, completely changing the way you look at yourself. It rips your soul apart and causes destruction. And that is the biggest danger because no matter how the world looks at you, once your idea of yourself changes, then the damage is done.

In this book, you will be taken on a journey of healing by understanding the various forms of abuse, the ways to heal, and finally, the ways to find closure.

If you are not the victim who is reading this but know someone who may be in the situation, then this book will help you empathize with the victim and help them deal with their situation.

Congratulations on taking the first step toward healing: accepting the problem. His one rule, "I won't talk about my childhood," closes the door on several therapists, until he meets one who is willing to respect his wishes-providing he explores his childhood on his own. When Steve begins to reflect on his past, he also begins to write it all down. The good, and the terrible.

Those written words are here.

Growing up in a fractured family rocked by addiction and trauma, Steve had to learn how to understand life, and death, on his own. As a self-described "street rat" on Boundary Road in East Vancouver, Steve caused trouble when it wasn't already following him around. Struggling in school, at home, and in countless fights, he navigated his way through adolescence with the help of his father, and pursued his dream of becoming a firefighter. While realizing that dream, he is forced to confront the demons of his past and the reality of post-traumatic stress injury. Through clinical counselling he is able to release his past and find the power of self-acceptance and vulnerability. The Unbroken is the memoir of one firefighter, his family, trauma, and resilience. Most importantly it is a story that teaches all of us, no matter our situation, that life is school, and the subject is ourself, our life habits, thoughts, and our reactions to them.
